Golspie Mill

Golspie Mill is one of Scotland’s only remaining traditional water-powered mills and has been producing artisan flours and meals since being fully restored in 1992. Manager and miller Michael Shaw grinds and packs whole grains and pulses to order; many are certified organic, all are entirely free from additives. The mill is listed in the Slow Food Ark of Taste for Peasemeal, which is a speciality of the mill. Late in 2014, the mill began producing a range of speciality wholemeal shortbread, Rustic Bites, made with their own organic stoneground flour. A Best Producer finalist in the BBC Food and Farming Awards, mill produce is available at good food shops across the country and online via their website.
