Here in the Highlands, we are extremely fortunate to have access to such wonderful produce. From seas and rivers to woodlands and hills – the Highlands produce some of the finest foods in the world.
If you are doing the cooking this Christmas, there are many benefits to shopping locally. For small businesses it can mean the world to have your support over the festive season. You are guaranteed that locally produced foods will be fresh and in season – and at their tastiest! As well, it goes some way in helping your Christmas to be more environmentally friendly, by reducing the transportation mileage of goods.

Black Isle Dairy
Visit their self service farm shop for whole milk from their own farm, local cheeses from Highland Fine Cheeses plus eggs, honey, ice-cream, chutneys and much more.
Great Glen Charcuterie
Make your charcuterie board extra special this year with some delicious Scottish venison from the Highlands. You can order online via the Great Glen Charcuterie website and they have special Christmas charcuterie hampers available for a limited time too!
Natural Vegetable Company
Organic and in season vegetables are available from the Natural Vegetable Company in boxes which can be delivered in the Inverness area.
The Oyster Shed
