The bakery’s signature product is the Stornoway Water Biscuit, made using a recipe passed down the generations and a versatile carrier for cheese, meats, fish, and pâté. Stag are proud to represent the Outer Hebrides and provenance is very important to them. Their bakers are always looking to incorporate their location into their range and one such product is the award-winning Seaweed Water Biscuits. Named Best Scottish Speciality Product in 2013, the product pairs Stag’s classic water biscuit recipe with seaweed sourced locally to provide a truly unique flavour that is full of character. Stag’s newest product launch is the Hebridean Baker biscuit range, a collaboration with the Hebridean Baker himself, Coinneach MacLeod. Coinneach is the author of two cookbooks about baking and the Hebridean way of life, and his Tik Tok videos have motivated followers around the globe to learn about the Scottish islands.
