About Us
The Bakehouse Market is situated in the centre of the historic fishing village of Findhorn, minutes from the natural beauty of Findhorn Bay and the nearby Findhorn Foundation eco-village. We are open 7 days a week throughout the year, offering a small takeaway menu from our kitchen and a range of seasonal, fresh and organic produce complemented by bread and other baked goods produced by our organic bakery. Originally we were open as a sit in Café offering delicious dishes focussing on local and sustainably grown produce. However with at the beginning of the pandemic we adapted to a Market which is here to stay!
Sustainable Practices
ajority of our fresh produce are sourced from the local Moray region and whenever available are grown to organic / Demeter standards. The dry goods we stock are sourced from a range of small businesses along with other eco conscious and sustainable producers from such as SUMA, Essentials, Doves Farm etc.
In both the Market and the bakery our food is prepared from scratch every day using only natural ingredients. Our wish is to offer food that is healthy and enjoyable to eat, ecologically sustainable and good for the local economy.
