The Macallan Estate

The Macallan Estate is home to The Macallan Distillery Experience, located within a beautiful 485 acre site in Speyside, Scotland.

Over two centuries have passed since Alexander Reid, founder of The Macallan, distilled the first batch of whisky in his curiously small stills in Speyside, Scotland, in 1824, beginning our extraordinary legacy of the single malt Scotch whisky.  

An obsession with quality and craftsmanship remain the hallmark of The Macallan. The outstanding quality and distinctive character of each whisky is influenced by exceptional oak casks seasoned with sherry wine – a commitment to natural colour underpinned by mastery.

Designed by internationally acclaimed architects, the award-winning The Macallan Distillery opened in 2018 and takes inspiration from the surrounding ancient Scottish hills. It is here that we welcome guests from all over the world for a range of unique experiences.

General experiences are available to book Thursdays to Sundays and our latest offering is available to view on our website, where they may be booked up to four months ahead of your visit.

Bespoke experiences are offered Mondays to Wednesdays and may be reserved up to six months ahead of visiting. These offer guests private time at The Macallan Estate, in the company of our expert team, to gain a deeper understanding of our whisky making.

Every visit to The Macallan Estate is by pre-booked appointment. This includes time at The Macallan Bar and personal shopping in The Macallan Boutique.
